Liverpool are reportedly staring at a heavy competition to sign Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni in the next summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old Ligue 1 midfield talent is wanted by a host of European bigwigs, which include the likes of Juventus and Chelsea, with Monaco slapping a €40 million price tag on the France international, according to the rumour mill.
Reports from the Italian news outlet Calcio Mercato ( via The Liverpool Echo) claim that Jurgen Klopp and Co. will have to battle it out with other clubs in the fray for landing the much-coveted signature of Tchouameni who has proven his credentials as one of the promising names in world football.
The Reds have been in the transfer market for a fresh face to bolster the midfield roster at Anfield and Klopp has his task cut out in bringing in a new signing with Brighton’s Yves Bissouma understood to be high on his shopping list.
Bissouma’s signature is one that has been closely watched by the Liverpool camp since this summer following the Malian’s impressive run of form in the middle of the pitch for Graham Potter’s men.
