Liverpool given £35 million price-tag for transfer target Saul Niguez

Liverpool have been given a chance to land the signature of Saul Niguez this summer with Atletico Madrid inviting offers in the region of £35 million to part ways with their midfield man.

Reports from The Express claim that with the La Liga champions confirming the capture of the highly-rated Rodrigo de Paul from Serie A outfit Udinese, Saul is likely to head out the exit door at the club in time for the start of the next season.

The 26-year-old Spain international is wanted by a number of clubs across England with Chelsea and Manchester United also understood to be in the fray besides Liverpool for the player’s signature but with Atletico making their pricing concerns public, it remains to be seen which side will emerge the frontrunners for Saul.

Liverpool have been backed to use the transfer window to bring in a midfield player to make up for Gini Wijnaldum’s departure to Paris Saint-Germain which has left a vacancy in the centre of the park for the Merseysiders.

Klopp has identified a host of names believed to be top on his wishlist for the summer window with Brighton’s Yves Bissouma and Lille’s Portugal star Renato Sanches expected to be potential arrivals at Anfield.
