The summer transfer window so far has not been one that had been anticipated by the majority of the Liverpool fanbase who were looking forward to Jurgen Klopp splashing the cash on a minor overhaul of his squad.
On the back of a timid title-defence campaign this previous season from the Merseyside giants, Klopp had been urged by many to get rid of the deadwood players in his first-team camp and induct some much-needed fresh blood to reclaim the Premier League crown now with Manchester City.
City have made attempts to bring in two of the Premier League’s most talented attacking names in Harry Kane and Jack Grealish and it is understood that at least one of the England internationals will be signing for the Champions of England in what is sure to be a mega-money transfer.

Liverpool, meanwhile, have made a sole purchase so far this summer but an important one nevertheless by snapping up the highly-rated defensive talent Ibrahima Konate who arrives from RB Leipzig on a five-year-long contract to shore up Klopp’s existing options at the back.
As far as outgoings are concerned, Liverpool seems to be lacking on that front as well with only Marko Grujic and Harry Wilson being the two fringe members of the Liverpool first-team camp to have sealed moves elsewhere in the transfer window and give Klopp some additional funds to tinker around with in what remains of this summer.
Here are three more players from the Reds first-team ranks that we expect will be offloaded by Jurgen Klopp before the transfer window slams shut –
1. Xherdan Shaqiri
Diogo Jota’s arrival on the scene last summer had made it more difficult for Shaqiri to grab minutes on the pitch but when the Swiss international was called upon by Klopp during Roberto Firmino’s rut in front of the goal, Shaqiri failed to make the most of his opportunities which certainly paves the way for his departure from Merseyside this time around.
Serie A outfit Lazio are credited with the frontrunners tag to land the 29-year-old who enjoyed a decent European Championships campaign with the semi-finalists Swiss national side.
2. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Once regarded as an indispensable name on the Liverpool teamsheet during his debut campaign on Merseyside, the former Arsenal man Chamberlain finds himself struggling for regular on-field action in recent times.
Long-term injury layoffs have curtailed his time on the pitch and with West Ham United rumoured to be in line to table a loan deal for the midfielder, Jurgen Klopp could be lured into shipping out his once-favoured first-team regular to open up a vacancy in the Liverpool midfield department.
3. Kostas Tsimikas
Another player who could be on his way out of the Anfield surroundings is reckoned to be Greek left-back Kostas Tsimikas who joined Jurgen Klopp’s camp only last summer.
Tsimikas who was brought in to provide cover for Andy Robertson managed to turn out in just two league outings and lack of minutes could force the player to rethink his Liverpool future with Serie A sides Napoli and Inter Milan in the fray for his signature.
