Liverpool are reportedly hoping to hijack FC Barcelona’s approach for Franck Kessie with the midfielder set for a San Siro exit next summer.
The Ivory Coast international has been tracked by some of the biggest clubs across Europe amid the speculation that he is not keen on signing a new deal with AC Milan beyond the end of his current stint with the club.
Kessie has been a top name on the shopping list for the Liverpool gaffer Jurgen Klopp who has been scouting the transfer market for a fresh face to induct into his midfield roster which lacks the required depth after Gini Wijnaldum’s exit this summer.
Reports from Spanish news outlet El Nacional suggest that the Reds are gearing up to offer a €30 million signing bonus to the player, double that of FC Barcelona’s offer worth €15 million to the Serie A star midfielder.
The 24-year-old will be in line to take a decision over his future sooner rather than later as we head into the January window where Kessie will be free to negotiate pre-contract terms with his suitor clubs in the market.
