Liverpool have reportedly zeroed in on the highly-rated Porto winger Luis Diaz as the top target for the forthcoming January transfer window.
Jurgen Klopp will have to do without star attacking duo Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane upon the turn of the year with both players set to take part in the African Cup of Nations for their countries.
To provide cover in the forward roles for the Reds, Klopp is backed to dip into the transfer market come January and add to his options in the final third which have often been termed underwhelming.
According to Portuguese news outlet Jornal de Notícias, it is claimed that Liverpool are eyeing up a swoop for Porto’s star man Luis Diaz in the winter transfer window with Klopp making the player a top name on his shopping list.
The 24-year-old Columbian has enjoyed a superb start to the 2021-22 campaign with nine goals already in his 12 outings for Sérgio Conceição’s men who sit at the summit of the Primeira Liga standings.
