The Reds remain highly interested in signing their long-term target Florian Neuhaus and are in line to propose a formal offer for the Germany international, claims a report from Sport1.
Neuhaus has been a standout performer for Borussia Monchengladbach this past season with eight goals and as many assists to his name which has made him a major name to watch out for in this summer’s transfer window.
Liverpool are in need of a midfield option following Gini Wijnaldum’s exit for Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain who have signed the Dutchman on a three-year-long mega-money deal ahead of the long-term suitors FC Barcelona.
It is understood that Liverpool’s potential offer to Monchengladbach for their prized midfielder will not come until after the conclusion of the ongoing UEFA European Championships in which the 24-year-old Neuhaus is competing with the German national team.
Jurgen Klopp, who is an admirer of the player’s ability on the pitch, has the final say on the transfer situation with the Liverpool boss keeping close tabs on Neuhaus’ showings over the remainder of the Euros.
