Liverpool interested in signing Leroy Sane and Federico Chiesa

As reported by Steve Kay of Football Transfers, Liverpool are reportedly considering Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane and Federico Chiesa from Juventus as potential replacements for Mohamed Salah.

While there is interest in Salah from Saudi Arabia, his agent has stated that he has no intention of leaving Liverpool, although he has just two years left on his contract.

Salah, who joined Liverpool from Roma in 2017, has become a legend at the club, scoring 187 goals in 307 games and helping secure various titles, including the Champions League, Super Cup, Premier League, Club World Cup, and FA Cup.

Although Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants Salah to stay, he is aware that the winger will eventually leave, and the club is reportedly considering Sane and Chiesa as potential replacements.

Sane is highly regarded as one of Europe’s top wingers and has had a successful stint at Bayern Munich, scoring 40 goals and providing 37 assists in 135 appearances since his move from Manchester City.

Liverpool are considering both attackers as potential replacements for Salah. Sane is valued at £66 million by Transfermarkt, but it’s uncertain how much Bayern would ask for if Liverpool pursued the 27-year-old.

Chiesa has previously been linked with Liverpool due to his impressive performances at Juventus. He has contributed 22 goals and 20 assists in 94 games across all competitions since joining the club.

Despite Juventus’ inconsistent form last season, Chiesa stood out with 10 goal contributions in 33 games.

Transfermarkt values Chiesa at £34 million, and with Juventus facing financial difficulties, Liverpool might find a good deal if they decide to pursue him.

Liverpool are not expected to make a move for Sane or Chiesa until at least next summer, as Salah is likely to remain at Anfield for another year. The club won’t need to address a replacement until 2024 at the earliest.
