Liverpool keen on signing Argentine World Cup star Rodrigo De Paul

Liverpool are keen on signing Argentine World Cup star Rodrigo De Paul this summer with the midfielder likely to leave Atletico Madrid when the transfer window reopens for business.

The 28-year-old is not of the first names on the team sheet for Atletico boss Diego Simeone and De Paul could be tempted to call it quits with some of Europe’s biggest clubs keeping tabs on his situation.

According to a report from the Spanish news outlet Fichajes, it is claimed that Jurgen Klopp’s Merseysiders are willing to fork out a fee in the region of €40 million to land the signature of De Paul.

Liverpool’s midfield department is in dire need of reinforcements after a disappointing season this term and Klopp is all but certain to dip into the market for a fresh pair of legs before the next season gets underway.

Borussia Dortmund talent Jude Bellingham and Chelsea playmaker Mason Mount are said to be the first choice names on the summer shopping list for Klopp despite the hefty price tags on their heads.
