Liverpool are reportedly keeping tabs on Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha for a summer move with Jurgen Klopp looking to bolster his engine room options.
The Reds are not expected to dip into the market this January for a new signing to freshen things up in the midfield department as Klopp is set to wait until the summer to strengthen the squad at his disposal.
According to a report from The Daily Express, it is hinted that Liverpool are interested in moving in for the Portuguese midfielder Joao Palhinha who has impressed many since making the move to the Premier League last summer.
He signed for Marco Silva’s Cottagers in a £20 million deal which now appears to be a brilliant piece of transfer business from the west London outfit with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur casting an eye over him for the forthcoming summer window.
It remains to be seen whether Liverpool’s rumoured interest in the 27-year-old Palhinha comes as an alternative to the Merseysiders’ long-standing target Jude Bellingham who is certain to leave Dortmund at the end of the season.
