The Reds are being linked with three Championship midfielders in Sander Berge, Matheus Pereira and Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa who until last season were starring in the Premier League.
Liverpool have been backed to bring in midfield reinforcements in this summer’s transfer window on the back of Gini Wijnaldum’s departure from Merseyside and subsequent move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Reports from The Mirror suggest that similar to Wijnaldum who was signed from the then relegated Newcastle United outfit in the summer of 2016, Klopp could be lured into scouting the lower level of English football to bring in his replacement in the centre of the park.
Sheffield United midfield maestro Sander Berge has been linked with an Anfield switch before and speculation is that the Norway international is a top target for Jurgen Klopp at Anfield besides West Brom’s Pereira and Fulham’s midfield mainstay Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa.
Pereira was a standout performer up top on the pitch in an advanced playmaking role for The Baggies last season but despite his heroics in front of the goal, West Brom were unable to survive the drop zone even as the results got better over time under the new boss Sam Allardyce.
