Liverpool FC are believed to be prioritising handing out improved and extended terms to four of their first-team star regulars, namely Mohammad Salah, Fabinho, Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker, according to reports from The Times.
Salah has been the subject of much talk heading into the forthcoming summer transfer window with the Egypt international forward linked with a move to Spain as the likes of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid circle around to sign the Reds talisman.
However, it is reported that the Merseysiders are pushing to tie down their attacking stalwart to a new deal at Anfield which would see Salah commit his long-term future in the Reds shirt.
Besides Salah, defensive colossus Virgil van Dijk is also in line to be handed a new deal by Jurgen Klopp’s side with the Dutchman being key to Liverpool FC’s title-challenge renewal in the upcoming top-flight campaign.
Brazillian duo Alisson Becker and Fabinho are the remaining of the four first-teamers in Klopp’s Anfield setup who are due new contractual terms as all players barring Salah have their current deal expiring in the summer of 2023.
