Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp looking to sign a new goalkeeper this summer

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is looking to sign a new goalkeeper this summer with the No.2 Caoimhin Kelleher set to leave Anfield.

The Ireland international Kelleher has served as the deputy to Alisson Becker but the former has earned just three appearances so far this campaign and could be on the move when the transfer window reopens for business later this year.

According to a report from The Daily Mirror, with Kelleher likely to head out the exit door, signing a new goalkeeper for his squad would also be a new task for Klopp who is planning a major rebuild of the Liverpool side over the summer.

Klopp is said to be on the lookout for a keeper who can compete with the first-choice option on the team sheet, Alisson, as Kelleher has done over the past few seasons to much success during the 2021-22 season.

Bringing in a couple of new midfielders and another centre-back are the other prioritises for the under-fire Klopp who has seen his side endure a disappointing season this term with Liverpool facing an uphill battle qualifying for the Champions League.
