Liverpool have reportedly opened talks to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch as Jurgen Klopp looks to freshen things up in the engine room for his side.
The Reds are believed to have cooled their interest in signing long-standing target Jude Bellingham who is likely to come for a steep asking price this summer with Europe’s biggest clubs battling each other for his signature.
According to a report from The Times, Jurgen Klopp’s Merseysiders have stepped up their interest in signing Gravenberch with the 20-year-old’s father meeting a representative sent by the Liverpool camp in Holland this week for initial discussions.
The former Ajax starlet has been handed just the solitary start in the Bayern shirt this season, with the majority of his minutes coming off the bench and speculation is rife that an exit could be on the cards for the Dutch international come the summer.
Klopp is desperate to add that extra impetus to his squad’s midfield roster which has looked underwhelming on a number of occasions this season and could do with a fresh pair of legs before the next campaign gets underway.
