Liverpool Player Ratings vs Leicester City

Liverpool earned another major boost in pursuit of their Premier League title as the ran out 4-0 winners against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Thursday night.

Alisson – 7

The Brazilian has been in superb form over the recent week, showing why most regard him as the world’s leading shot-stopper. But Alisson was rarely tested against the Foxes, however, but his distribution was spot on.

Alexander Arnold- 10

The 21-year-old was at his brilliant best on the ball, testing Kasper Schmeichel early on and he then whipped in two fantastic crosses for Roberto Firmino to score his brace. He added a smashing strike to make it 4-0 and got his second goal of the season.

Gomez – 9

The Englishman was close to the dominant figure that shone so bright in the first few months of the season, purring with class in the backline with strength and pace. Looked comfortable alongside Van Dijk.

Van Dijk – 9

Once again looked very comfortable with most things that came his way and dealt with everything that Leicester threw his way. Oozing with confidence and calmness.

Robertson – 9

The Scotsman was in tenacious spirits at the King Power eager to get his team over the line. Made one crucial tackle in the first period but his consistency is quite remarkable.

Henderson- 9

In the absence of Fabinho, the skipper marshaled the defensive midfield zone quite well showing his quality of long-range passing.

Wijnaldum – 8

The hard-working Dutchman has become the engine for Klopp knitting things together from defense into attack proving to be invaluable for his manager.

Keita- 9

Showed glimpses of brilliance now and then breaking through the lines and made some sublime passes as well which shows that he still has a lot more to showcase.

Salah -6

The Egyptian had another off day and was quite selfish on the night when he should have passed on those occasions. Sloppy in the final third but still caused a few problems with his speed and strength.

Mane- 8

Misses a few big chances but was a threat all night long for Leicester and grabbed an assist for Alexander Arnold’s goal. Improved towards the second half of the game.

Firmino -9

Scored two goals with two lovely finishes and worked his socks off for the visiting team continuing his good vein of form.
