Liverpool put Tyler Morton’s loan move to Blackburn Rovers on hold

Liverpool have reportedly put Tyler Morton’s loan move to Blackburn Rovers on hold in light of the increasing injury concerns in the Reds camp.

The teenage midfield talent Morton had been expected to sign for Blackburn in a season-long loan deal with Jurgen Klopp hoping for the youngster to earn some valuable first-team football away from Anfield.

According to Anfield Edition, however, Klopp is now willing to retain Morton’s services for the upcoming campaign with the Liverpool head coach valuing Morton greatly following the rise in injury concerns within his midfield ranks.

There have been question marks time and again over the depth in the midfield berths at Anfield with the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita heading into the final 12 months of their respective deals with Liverpool.

Klopp looks set to postpone his need for a fresh face to add to his options in the centre of the park with the German rumoured to be eyeing up a big-money swoop for Dortmund sensation Jude Bellingham come the summer of 2023.
