Liverpool have reportedly reached a verbal agreement to sign Borussia Dortmund midfield talent Jude Bellingham in the January transfer window.
According to a report from Football Insider, it is claimed that Liverpool have stepped up their efforts to bring in the 19-year-old maestro amid the injury crisis in the Liverpool ranks early on in the new season.
The likes of Thiago Alcantara, Curtis Jones, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita have all been sidelined with injury troubles which has prompted the Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp to move in for his long-standing target Bellingham.
Dortmund have made it clear they will not sanction the sale of the 19-year-old Bellingham this summer with Liverpool hard at work behind the scenes to strike an agreement with the Germans for the much-awaited transfer for Klopp and his side.
Bellingham has been identified by the Liverpool recruitment team as a viable choice to freshen the midfield department at Anfield with uncertainty looming over the futures of Naby Keita and Oxlade-Chamberlain with both players out of contract next summer.
