Liverpool ready to spend big on signing Napoli centre-back Kim Min-jae

Liverpool are ready to spend big on signing Napoli centre-back Kim Min-jae who is one of the most sought-after names in the market ahead of this summer’s transfer window.

The South Korean defender has been an impressive figure at the back for Napoli who are well on course to clinch Serie A glory this season and Min-jae is said to be considering his future with the Italian giants beyond the end of the season.

Europe’s top clubs, including the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid, are interested in signing the Napoli man and joining them are Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool who are planning an overhaul of their squad come the summer.

According to a report from the Italian publication Ciro Venerato ( via 90min), it is claimed that the Merseysiders are prepared to fork out €70 million to land the 26-year-old Min-jae with Napoli not willing to sanction his exit on the cheap.

Napoli president de Laurentiis feels he parted ways with Kalidou Koulibaly too cheaply last summer when the Senegal centre-back signed for Chelsea and the former wants to avoid a repeat of that situation.
