Liverpool remain interested in PSG’s wantaway forward Kylian Mbappe

Liverpool remain interested in a move for PSG’s wantaway forward Kylian Mbappe in the summer despite Real Madrid leading the race to land the Frenchman.

Mbappe has long been linked with an exit from the Paris Saint-Germain camp with some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Liverpool, keeping close tabs on his extended contract standoff.

According to reports from ESPN, it is suggested that Real Madrid being backed as the strong frontrunners for Mbappe’s signature has not meant Jurgen Klopp’s Anfield giants bowing out of the race to snap up one of the most promising names in world football.

The Merseysiders are joined by domestic rivals Manchester City in the mix for the PSG contract rebel with the Premier League duo lagging behind Spanish heavyweights Real Madrid which is the preferred destination for Mbappe.

He has his heart set on a move to the Santiago Bernabeu with speculation rife that the World Cup-winning star striker is a certainty to don the Real Madrid shirt come the start of next season.
