According to reports from 90Min, Liverpool FC are just one amongst a number of top European clubs keeping tabs on RB Salzburg midfield starlet Dominik Szoboszlai, a player who has impressed massively while playing for the Austrian outfit in recent seasons.
The 20-year-old has turned out to be a regular fixture in the centre of the park for both club and country over the last couple of years and has earned a permanent spot in the Hungarian national team as well, which will only lure more big clubs across the continent to battle for his signing.
Liverpool FC’s interest in Szoboszlai understood to be significant, despite the widely contested race to sign the player being lead by RB Leipzig, however, Jurgen Klopp’s desire to add more highly-rated young talents to his Anfield ranks is known to be the driving reason behind the Reds wanting to acquire the Salzburg man.
With James Milner in his mid-30s, and Gini Wijnaldum’s future at the club beyond next summer looking highly uncertain, despite recent reports of Liverpool FC offering the Dutchman a massive wage bump, Szoboszlai is seen as a long-term investment by the Merseyside giants.
The Hungarian international bagged 12 goals and 18 assists across all competitions last season, and signing such a player could only take Jurgen Klopp’s side to greater heights in world football, and at the same time, securing the future for the Premier League holders.
