Liverpool sign Brighton star Alexis MacAllister for a shocking transfer fee

According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool has successfully signed Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister for a transfer fee that is even lower than previously reported.

The 24-year-old midfielder underwent a medical with the Reds on Tuesday and has agreed to a five-year contract at Anfield, said to be worth £150,000 per week.

Romano states that Liverpool has triggered a release clause in Mac Allister’s contract with Brighton and the transfer is now in the final stages, with the necessary documents being signed.

The transfer fee paid by Liverpool is reported to be just £35 million for the Argentine midfielder, who played a significant role in Argentina’s World Cup-winning campaign in Qatar.

In comparison, Chelsea paid a much higher fee of £106.8 million to sign Mac Allister’s international midfield partner, Enzo Fernandez, in January.
