Liverpool Star Reveals What Makes Jurgen Klopp Angry

Reds’ midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri has revealed the truth about his manager Jurgen Klopp and how he reacts when things aren’t going well for Liverpool.

Liverpool extended their unbeaten streak in the Premier League this season to nine games after a 1-0 win over Huddersfield Town at the John Smith Stadium on Saturday. A Mohamed Salah goal in the first half of the game was enough to allow Liverpool all three points from their travel against the Terriers.

But it was a far from a fluent performance from Liverpool, who are yet to hit their high form which we saw towards the end of last season. It was a scrappy game which saw Liverpool manager furious and very animated on the touchline. And Shaqiri who arrived from Stoke City to Liverpool on a £12 million deal in the summer has explained as to why his manager was behaving in such a manner.

Speaking in a post-match interview the Swiss international winger, who set up Salah’s goal with a lovely weighted pass, said that Klopp is a manager who wants to see his team always give 100% on the pitch, “Of course, he is very emotional. He wants the best from you and always that you give 100 per-cent.  If he sees something that is not 100 per-cent normal then he will shout – and he did! That’s normal.”

The 27-year-old also added and understood that it wasn’t the best performance but he was still proud that his side kept a clean sheet, “Everything was not perfect like he wanted it to be. In the end, we won the game and that was the most important thing. Of course, we have to analyze to see what was good and what was not good.  But I’m really proud that we had another clean sheet. That’s very positive.”

Shaqiri was really good on the night and the Liverpool fans will be expecting him to step up his game even further in the near future as they look to win trophies.
