Liverpool are backed as the frontrunners to sign Olympiacos centre-back Pape Abou Cisse with Everton and Arsenal also right in the mix for landing the defender.
Jurgen Klopp added a top name to his defensive roster in this summer’s transfer window by bringing the highly-rated Ibrahima Koante from RB Leipzig in what was a bold move to strengthen the depth at the back for Liverpool.
There have been rumours doing the rounds that the Liverpool boss remains keen on further bolstering his centre-back options and reports from The Daily Mail have claimed that Pape Abou Cisse is the new name on the shopping list.
Cisse is Sadio Mane’s teammate in the Senegal national team and it is understood that Liverpool have sent out scouts to watch the central defender in action amid speculation that interest from England’s top flight is on the rise in signing the Olympiacos man.
Arsenal and Everton are also backed to be in the race for the Senegalese international whose consistent run of form for his side have earned him rave reviews and quite possibly a move to the Premier League sooner rather than later.
