Liverpool are set to consider paying a higher fee for securing the signature of Aberdeen’s promising wing-back Calvin Ramsay in this summer’s transfer window.
Ramsay’s run of displays last season made the teenage talent one of the most exciting young players in the Scottish top flight division and attracted interest from England’s big clubs in his services.
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds, who confirmed the capture of long-standing target Darwin Nunez on Wednesday for their first signing of the summer, are now hopeful of adding the 18-year-old Ramsay to their ranks and provide cover in the right-back role.
According to the Daily Express, however, Ramsay could be made available only for a steep asking price with Aberdeen slapping a £10 million price tag on their defensive asset who made his senior breakthrough last campaign with four assists.
Ramsay has already agreed upon personal terms with his suitors Liverpool with Jurgen Klopp keen on following up the recruitment of dangerman Darwin Nunez with another highly-promising youngster in time for the next season’s start.
