Among the number of accolades coming the way of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool FC stars, the trio of Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander Arnold, and Sadio Mane are on the six-man shortlist for the 2019-20 PFA Premier League Fans’ Player of the Year award.
Arnold and Mane had been nominated for the 2019-20 PFA Player of the Year honour as well. However, the 29-year old Van Dijk had not featured on that particular shortlist. Instead, the Reds skipper Jordan Henderson was the third player from the Merseyside giants to be nominated for the year-end PFA award.

The trio of Anfield stars will go up against the likes of Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy and the Manchester City pairing of Kevin de Bruyne and Raheem Sterling. Vardy was the leading goal scorer for the 2019-20 Premier League season with the 33-year old forward netting 23 goals across the campaign.
Van Dijk, Arnold, and Mane were all crucial figures among Jurgen Klopp’s title-winning squad this past season. While the latter scored 18 goals for the Reds and was a fantastic attacking presence throughout the Premier League campaign, both Van Dijk and Arnold kept the opposition forwards at bay with their quality defensive attributes.
The Liverpool FC backline kept as many as 15 clean sheets across their 2019-20 league campaign. Moreover, Arnold racked up 13 assists in the process and was also recently named the Premier League Young Player of the Season.
