Liverpool vs Brighton and Hove Albion: Liverpool’s Predicted Line-Up | Premier League 2023-24

Liverpool will play host to Brighton and Hove Albion in their next Premier League match at Anfield on Sunday.

Liverpool

The Reds will be aiming to bounce back from their shocking 4-3 defeat at the hands of Manchester United in the FA Cup quarterfinals.

However, they will be working to solidify their spot at the top of the table by overcoming the Seagulls. Jurgen Klopp’s men must look for all three points since Arsenal and Manchester City will be facing each other next week.

If any of the sides loses points then Liverpool can further strengthen their place at the top.

Although the Reds have the upper hand in their past head-to-head record against the Seagulls, they have failed to win in their past four encounters against them.

Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi, who is also a contender for the Liverpool managerial job, would be aiming to pack a punch and grab the opponents attention. Although he has fallen down the pecking order, he is still considered as an option this summer.

Their injury woes will continue to create an issue since many of their first-team players are still out of action. Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Diogo Jota are expected to be sidelined.

Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo might be available but Darwin Nunez is a doubt for the clash. Ibrahima Konate will be ready to mark his return to action and so will Curtis Jones.

Mohamed Salah, Watarh Endo, Alexis Mac Allister and Szoboszlai will be available for selection. Conor Bradley, Virgil van Dijk, Kelleher, and Andrew Robertson will be completing the defence.

We expect Klopp to go with a strong starting XI against Brighton. He might prefer to rest some of these players in the game against Sheffield United days later.

The club have a tight schedule to deal with as they play consecutive league games in April with little rest. Hence squad rotation will be key or else they might suffer injury issues within the squad.
