Liverpool welcome Brighton to Anfield on Saturday and Jurgen Klopp’s men will be hoping to continue their recent winning ways on home turf.
The Reds have been in phenomenal form this new season and with an unbeaten run now stretching across 22 games, Klopp and Co. will be heavily favoured to claim the three points from the upcoming outing against Brighton.
Liverpool last turned up in EFL Cup action earlier this week away at Championship outfit Preston North End as goals from Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi sealed a comfortable win for a rotated XI that took the field for the visitors.
Klopp rang in major changes to his side that emerged victors over arch-rivals Manchester United last time around in top-flight football with the Liverpool boss resting a host of his star regulars who will be in line for a return to the teamsheet come Saturday.
Injury troubles were once again on the rise for Liverpool with midfield duo Naby Keita and James Milner on the recovery table following the Old Trafford showdown but Fabinho’s return to the fold will be a respite for the Merseyside giants.
Brighton’s last outing came against the defending champions Manchester City who enjoyed a thumping win over Graham Potter’s men despite the latter putting up an impressive run of displays early on this campaign.
For Liverpool, it should not be too tough a task to secure another victory on the run and maintain the pressure on the table-toppers Chelsea with both teams separated by just one point.

TEAM NEWS
Liverpool were in for a much-needed boost on the injury front with recent absentees Keita and Thiago Alcantara pictured in training ahead of the game over the weekend.
Thiago’s return was expected on either side of the forthcoming international break but with the Spain international back in the fold, Klopp is set to have another pivotal figure in his midfield roster.
Milner, however, is set for a spell on the sidelines with speculation doing the rounds that the veteran midfielder’s hamstring problem is in line to keep him out until after the international break.
KEY BATTLE
Jordan Henderson vs Yves Bissouma
The skipper Henderson put out a terrific showing against Manchester United and his assist for Salah’s third goal earned the 30-year-old rave reviews which adds to his stellar run of form this new season for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Henderson will go head to head against a top name on the shopping list at Anfield in Brighton maestro Yves Bissouma who is tipped for a role on the teamsheet following his recent return from injury.
MATCH PREDICTION
We predict Liverpool to clinch the three points from Saturday’s outing on home turf with Brighton, despite their credentials of a dark horse so far this campaign, unlikely to cause much trouble for the hosts.
Liverpool 3-0 Brighton
