After a mesmerising win against Manchester United, Liverpool will continue their pre-season against Napoli in a highly anticipated match-up. This will be Liverpool’s penultimate match before the Premier League and they would like to continue their rampage show, which they did in a 4-1 victory over United.
In their last face-off in the year 2010 Liverpool came victorious over Napoli, in a 3-1 win. However, the Italian side has progressed manifolds and is looking stronger than ever under their new manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Liverpool’s record signing Alisson has joined the rest of the squad and is all set to put his golden gloves on. The player joined the team along with his Brazilian duo Roberto Firmino.
The newly made father Nathaniel Clyne is back with the team after the birth of his child. Naby Keita and Gini Wijnaldum are expected to feature after recovering from the minor injuries they had. We may also see the new signing Shaqiri who had a wonderful debut playing for Liverpool.
Napoli will be facing their first non-Italian side this pre-season and it will be their real test under Italian coach, Ancelloti. The Italian team will be without the services of Piotr Zielinksi, who is suffering from sprained ankle. Napoli will also miss the likes of Young keeper Alex Meret, winger Amin Younes and 27-year-old full-back Faouzi Ghoulam. Lorenzo Insigne, Marek Hamsik and Kalidou Koulibaly are the three Napoli can depend on.
