Liverpool return to home turf at Anfield this Sunday as the Merseysiders welcome Shrewsbury for the third round clash in the FA Cup.
Jurgen Klopp’s men last turned out against Chelsea in Premier League action at Stamford Bridge where despite a positive start to the crunch game resulted in a 2-2 stalemate for the Reds.
With the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi final against Arsenal called off due to Liverpool’s selection concerns amidst the rise in COVID-19 cases, Sunday’s outing at Anfield will be looked forward to by the supporters.
Klopp should be able to call upon the services of recent absentees Alisson Becker, Joel Matip, Virgil van Dijk, Curtis Jones and Roberto Firmino but it remains to be seen whether the Liverpool manager will field a strong XI on paper for the game against Shrewsbury.
