Liverpool are waiting on a further assessment of Naby Keita’s injury trouble which the player suffered during the Carabao Cup win over Norwich City last week.
Keita kicked the grass in the first half of the 3-0 win for Jurgen Klopp’s men against their third round opponents and was taken off the pitch with concerns growing over a potential layoff for the 26-year-old midfield man.
He was subsequently ruled out of the 3-3 draw Liverpool played out last time around against the Premier League’s new boys Brentford on Saturday and is in line to miss the midweek Champions League fixture for the Reds.

Anfield Watch has indicated that Liverpool are holding out on tests that will determine the extent of Keita’s latest trouble on the injury front with the Guinean international a regular on the recovery table at Anfield.
There has been the talk of the former RB Leipzig man rebuffing a new deal from the Merseysiders as he is seeking assurances of regular first-team football which has been hard to come his way since his switch to the Liverpool colours.
