Liverpool’s Welsh star-attacker eyed by Burnley

Burnley have entered the race to sign the in-demand Harry Wilson before the summer transfer window closes down on 5th October.

The Welsh international is understood to be on the brink of an exit from the Merseyside outfit this summer after returning to Jurgen Klopp’s side following a season-long loan stint at last season’s relegation victims AFC Bournemouth.

Despite Wilson’s loan spells at the Cherries not being the most productive of first-team involvement opportunities for the young winger, he is still regarded as a highly-rated attacking option by a number of the top-flight clubs across England. The player is a rumoured target for Southampton and Leeds United as well this summer.

Recent reports suggest that Sean Dyche’s Burnley have been in regular contact with Liverpool FC over a deal for Wilson, however, is not known yet whether the Clarets will be looking to sign the 22-year old on a loan deal or on a permanent basis.

With Diogo Jota’s big-money move to the Anfield giants being announced last week, Wilson’s spot in Klopp’s senior squad is tipped to tumble down further the pecking order, which makes a move away from the Merseyside club this summer the best option for both Liverpool FC as well as the Welshman.
