Manchester United are considering a move for Liverpool target Goncalo Inacio in January, as stated by Football Insider.

While Liverpool and Newcastle had previously expressed interest, Inacio chose to extend his contract with Sporting Lisbon.

According to Football Insider, both clubs remain interested in signing him, and there are several other European clubs closely monitoring his situation.

Inacio recently signed an extension that ties him to Sporting Lisbon until June 2027, but there is a release clause set at £52 million, which is within reach for Man United.

United’s scouts have been tasked with closely monitoring the 22-year-old star in the upcoming months. While securing a deal for the defender may be challenging, several clubs, including Liverpool and United, are expected to pursue him in the summer of 2024.

Sporting’s prestigious Alcochete academy has a strong history of producing top Portuguese talents, from Cristiano Ronaldo to Nuno Mendes, Joao Moutinho, and Rafael Leao.
