Marko Grujic optimistic over sealing his summer move to FC Porto

Liverpool’s forgotten midfield man Marko Grujic is claimed to be confident over leaving Merseyside for suitors FC Porto in this summer’s transfer window, according to reports from Football Insider.

Grujic is heavily backed to be offloaded by Jurgen Klopp’s side in the ongoing summer window with the Serbian international not seen as a prospective first-team player at Anfield despite his loan spells away from the club over the years.

He spent the last season on loan at Porto and it is Champions League quarter-finalists who are believed to be in the pole position to land the midfielder’s signature before the end of this month.

With a cash strapped Liverpool outfit on the hunt for a couple of new faces to bring in ahead of the start of the new season, Klopp could do with the £15 million windfall that will come his way by sanctioning Grujic’s sale.

The Liverpool boss is himself scouting for midfield reinforcements in the transfer market to fill the void left by Gini Wijnaldum who is set to become a Paris Saint-Germain player on July 1 after having agreed to terms on a three-year-long deal with the Ligue 1 giants.
