Anfield hero Mohamed Salah will reportedly pocket a generous £350,000-a-week wage after signing a new long-term deal with Liverpool on Friday.
The Egypt international put an end to the speculation doing the rounds over his future on Merseyside beyond this summer by putting pen to paper on an extension much to the delight of the Liverpool faithful.
According to a report from The Daily Mirror, Salah’s new terms, agreed upon in long-drawn-out negotiations, dictate a £350,000-a-week wage for the 30-year-old which makes him the highest-paid player in the club’s famed history.
It is understood that Liverpool’s new Sporting Director Julian Ward made the trip to Egypt, where Salah is on holiday ahead of the start of the new season, and wrap up the talks with the player and his camp to sign the new deal.
Salah’s new contract at Anfield runs until the summer of 2025 and would come as a shot in the arm for the plans of the Reds head coach Jurgen Klopp who too had penned a new deal in the backend of April this year.
