Former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch has urged the Reds to make a move for Borussia Dortmund midfield talent Jude Bellingham.
The teenage England international has been tipped as one of the most promising names in world football which many suggest that a move to the Premier League is on the cards for the player.
In his column for The Daily Mail, ex-Anfield fan-favourite Crouch has sounded out that Bellingham would be a perfect fit for Jurgen Klopp’s ranks at Anfield that could do with a signing of Bellingham’s calibre.
“Next summer will be interesting, Liverpool feel like they are due a big one, and you’re possibly looking at something extra in midfield.”
“Jude Bellingham would fit in perfectly, as long as it is not to the detriment of Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones, who have suffered cruel luck with injuries.
“It’s not been a settled midfield for a while and those places are up for grabs. If there was a Champions League final tomorrow, Fabinho and Henderson would play.”
The Liverpool manager Klopp has long been backed to bolster his midfield roster following the exit of the long-serving general Gini Wijnaldum who left the Merseyside giants to sign for Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Bellingham is reckoned to be a top name on the shopping list for Klopp on the back of the former’s explosive run of form for Dortmund since his switch to Germany’s top flight two years back.
