Real Madrid Plot £40m Move For Liverpool Star Andy Robertson

According to the Liverpool Echo, Real Madrid is considering making a bold move to try and sign Andy Robertson from Liverpool during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Spanish side is in the market for a left-back, and Robertson has emerged as a surprising option with Ferland Mendy expected to leave and Eduardo Camavinga wanting to play in midfield.

Robertson has been a key player for Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp, but with the Reds missing out on Champions League football next season, a move to the 14-time European champions could be enticing.

Real Madrid has included Robertson on their list of potential left-back targets. While there have also been links to Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies, acquiring Robertson may be a more realistic option for Los Blancos.

Liverpool values Andy Robertson at over €45m (£40m) following his impressive performances since joining the club from Hull City for just €9m (£7.8m) in 2017.

The 29-year-old has established himself as one of the world’s best left-backs and played crucial roles in Liverpool’s Champions League triumph in 2019 and Premier League title win in 2020.

Robertson has made 267 appearances for the Reds and has also been a key figure for the Scottish national team, earning 62 caps and serving as captain since 2018, including at the Euro 2020 tournament.
