Real Madrid Ready To Test Liverpool With £75million Bid For Trent Alexander-Arnold

According to the Sun, Spanish giants Real Madrid are ready to test Liverpool’s resolve by placing a £75 million bid for Trent Alexander-Arnold this summer.

Trent Alexander-Arnold

The English right-back’s contact with his parent club will expire next summer. The Reds are working hard to tie him down to a new contract amid recent interest from Los Blancos.

The club’s CEO Michael Edwards and soon-to-be-appointed Sporting Director Richard Hughes have a huge task of keeping their key players at Anfield.

They also need to sign a replacement for Jurgen Klopp. Hence, amid all the chaos, Madrid could try to offer a decent sum for Alexander-Arnold and test Liverpool’s stance.

It is quite clear that the player is not for sale. But things might change if the Englishman decides against signing a new contract.

The defender has been a key player for the PL elites since Klopp took over the managerial reigns. He played just 21 games this season owing to injury.

The fans expect him to be back soon and help the club to life the league title and the Europa League. But talking about the player’s future beyond this season, there is still uncertainty about what would happen next.

Madrid have the pedigree to attract top talents. They are close to signing PSG sensation Kylian Mbappe this summer as a free agent.

They are also looking to revamp their defence by adding Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies. Alexander-Arnold could complete their defence and will also be a long-term replacement for Dani Carvajal.

The 25-year-old has enough title-winning experience under his belt and his arrival could make their team invincible. Liverpool won’t be happy with this scenario.

We believe that they will reject any advances from the La Liga side and will push relentlessly to extend the star player’s contract at the club.

Trent Alexander-Arnold will be relishing the opportunity to play under a new manager once Klopp moves away from Anfield. The players should stay and help the club grow once again rather than leaving and making things worse.
