Recently-relegated Fulham lead the race to sign Harry Wilson this summer

Fulham are in pole position to land the in-demand signature of Liverpool outcast Harry Wilson in this summer’s transfer window, according to reports from the Goal.

The Wales international has been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield ahead of the start of the new season with Wilson not expected to be a part of Jurgen Klopp’s first-team plans for the forthcoming campaign.

He has spent the recent seasons on loan stints both in the Championship and the Premier League and interest in Wilson this summer has been strong enough from across the country with Benfica being the sole exception.

With Wilson seeking regular minutes on the football pitch beyond this summer, it is believed that the Welshman, who carries a price-tag worth £15 million, will push for a move away from Merseyside with Craven Cottage looking his imminent destination.

Fulham are backed to be the frontrunners in the widely-contested race for the Liverpool forward as the club have registered an interest in Wilson for a long time with Liverpool’s asking price for their player not likely to trouble the Championship outfit.
