Saudi club Al-Nassr interested in signing Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino

Saudi club Al-Nassr are interested in signing Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino who is out of contract on Merseyside at the end of the 2022-23 season.

The Middle East outfit were most recently keen on the Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo with a mega-money deal in the offing but it appears that Al-Nassr have gone cold on the idea of moving in for his signature.

According to a report from The Daily Mirror, it is said that Firmino has emerged as a target for Al-Nassr as the Brazilian international forward is free to enter into talks over a pre-contract with foreign clubs come January 1.

The 31-year-old Firmino has emerged as a surprise hit for Jurgen Klopp’s inconsistent Liverpool side this season with the Hoffenheim man netting seven Premier League goals in 13 appearances outings to earn regular first-team football.

Injuries to Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz have meant that Klopp’s dependence upon his long-serving No.9 has increased despite the Liverpool manager spending bid on snapping up Darwin Nunez from Benfica in the summer.
