Serie A giants Lazio express interest in signing Liverpool forward Takumi Minamino

Serie A giants Lazio are showing a strong interest in signing Liverpool forward Takumi Minamino who has failed to adapt to life in England’s top flight.

Minamino made the move to Anfield back in January 2020 from RB Leipzig but has been unable to replicate his lethal self in front of the goal for Jurgen Klopp’s Merseysiders.

Despite tasting success in cup competitions this season, there is speculation that the Japan international could be looking to seal an exit from the Liverpool fold with no shortage of suitors for the 27-year-old.

According to a report from the Italian news outlet Calcio Mercato, it is claimed that Lazio are leading the race for Minamino’s signature with the Italian heavyweights hopeful of offering the forward a way out of Liverpool in search of regular game time.

He had been shipped out on loan to Premier League outfit Southampton for the second half of the previous campaign but was retained by Klopp to provide cover in the attacking roles this season to not much success.
