Napoli are understood to be in contention of making a summer swoop for Liverpool outcast Kostas Tsimikas with the Greek international struggling for first-team minutes in the Reds shirt.
Since arriving on Merseyside last summer to become Jurgen Klopp’s first purchase of the transfer window, Tsimikas has become a largely marginalised figure in the Anfield ranks and could look to engineer a move away in the coming months.
With just a sole top-flight outing to his name this season for his new side, the full-back has struggled to displace the likes of Andy Robertson and James Milner, both of whom sit much above the Greek defender in the pecking order.
Reports from Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport claim that Napoli will seek to renew their earlier interest in signing the Reds left-back when the summer window opens in July as boss Gennaro Gattuso remains on the hunt for defensive reinforcements.
Previous reports had suggested that Jurgen Klopp had rebuffed potential interest in his player from abroad but the Liverpool FC gaffer could be rendered helpless in parting ways with Tsimikas this time around due to his successive run-in with injury troubles.
