Signing Kylian Mbappe next summer could cost Liverpool a world-record transfer fee

With just 18 months remaining on his current deal with Paris Saint-Germain, World Cup-winning striker Kylian Mbappe continues to be linked with a move away from Paris next summer, with Liverpool FC and Real Madrid leading the line of top European clubs wanting to sign the star forward.

The 22-year old Mbappe has transformed into a world-class talent at PSG since his move to the Ligue 1 champions three summers back from AS Monaco, and his performances for them and the French national team has made Mbappe one of the best-attacking talents world football has seen in recent times.

However, it is understood that the player will be keen on playing in another country in the very near future, and the prospects of featuring in the Premier League, for Jurgen Klopp’s Reds, is seen as a very appealing idea to the French international.

Reports from The Sun indicate that with Liverpool and Real Madrid’s interest in the player, PSG would be hoping to land a world-record transfer fee to part ways with Mbappe in the summer of 2021.

The Reds are rumoured to be long-term suitors for Mbappe, and with the player himself being an admirer of the Merseyside club’s style of play under Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool FC supporters will be longing to see the generational talent sport the club’s colours very soon.
