Star full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is reportedly absent from Liverpool’s Porto travelling party for Tuesday night’s fixture in the Champions League.
Jurgen Klopp’s men are set to face FC Porto away from home in their second group stage outing after claiming a narrow win over AC Milan in the opening game.
Reports from The Daily Mirror have revealed that the Liverpool squad that has made the travels to Portugal on Monday does not include Alexander-Arnold with information yet to be received over a potential injury issue for the England international.
Arnold had been in action last Saturday in Liverpool’s 3-3 affair away at Brentford but the two games prior to the weekend game were missed by the defender which gives rise to concerns over an extended period of trouble on the injury front.
Jurgen Klopp has Liverpool vice-captain James Milner and Joe Gomez to fill in at right-back for the midweek contest at the Estádio do Dragão with Neco Williams also expected to return to the fold very soon from his own injury niggle.
