Trent Alexander-Arnold pens a contract extension at Anfield

Trent Alexander-Arnold has committed his long-term future at Anfield with the England full-back signing a new long-term deal with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool outfit.

Reports from the club’s official website claim that Arnold has put pen to paper on a new contract on Merseyside which will see him feature on the Liverpool teamsheet for years to come.

The 22-year-old defender has been one of the most influential figures in the Jurgen Klopp camp over the past couple of years and it had been speculated that the Liverpool boss will be rewarding the youngster with extended terms this summer.

Liverpool still have a host of contract issues to solve before the new season gets underway with skipper Jordan Henderson’s Anfield future subject to much uncertainty in recent weeks after a breakdown in his contract extension talks.

With talk of Henderson’s exit from Anfield as early as this summer’s transfer window, Jurgen Klopp will have to solve the contract mess as Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain circle around to land the signature of the 31-year-old Liverpool midfield maestro.
