In what could prove to be a huge blow to Liverpool FC’s chances of staging a victory over a highly-promising Arsenal side, the pair of Alisson Becker and Thiago Alcantara are not certainties to face the Gunners at Anfield on Monday.
Recent reports state that while both players are yet to be ruled out in a definite manner by Klopp, Thiago and Alisson missed the Reds’ training sessions in recent days, which casts doubt over them being made available when Mikel Arteta’s men pay a visit to the Merseyside.
Both players were important figures of Jurgen Klopp’s side that defeated Chelsea 2-0 over the last weekend through a brace from Sadio Mane. Thiago had not started the game against the Blues but had replaced Liverpool FC skipper Jordan Henderson before the commencement of the second half.
Alisson, on the other hand, ensured that his side kept a clean sheet after six games when the Brazilian shot-stopper managed to palm away Jorginho’s spot-kick in the closing third of the game at Stamford Bridge.
Ahead of the Anfield clash between the two sides on Monday, Jurgen Klopp has previously confirmed the absence of Jordan Henderson after the 30-year old sustained a thigh problem in the Chelsea game.
