Virgil van Dijk’s recent Twitter post would surely have sent the Liverpool FC fanbase into a frenzy as the Dutch defensive colossus is seen stepping up his recovery process from what was initially believed to a be a season-ending layoff.
The 29-year-old central defender was hauled off the pitch during October’s Merseyside derby clash at Goodison Park after being on the receiving end of a late and clumsy challenge from Everton No.1 Jordan Pickford.
Later reports had confirmed that the Holland skipper could be set to miss the remainder of the 2020-21 season for Jurgen Klopp’s men as he underwent surgery before being put through an intensive rehabilitation programme.

However, if Van Dijk’s Twitter post is anything to go by, the Reds supporters would take comfort in recent speculation of the ex-Southampton man being back in action for the Merseysiders before the close of the ongoing campaign.
Van Dijk’s injury meant that Klopp fell short on centre-back options in the first-team ranks at Anfield, fueling further speculation of the Liverpool FC boss dipping into the winter transfer window to bring in new faces as the Reds seek to maintain a healthy lead at the top of the league standings.
