Liverpool are claimed to be keeping tabs on West Ham United first-team regular Jarrod Bowen with the Merseysiders looking to improve their attacking ranks ahead of the start of the new season.
According to reports from The Athletic, Bowen has emerged as a likely top target for Jurgen Klopp and Co. at Anfield who have been on the lookout for a wide player in this summer’s transfer window which is now underway.
Klopp’s wide range of attacking players were not all at their usual best with only Mohammad Salah and Anfield new boy Diogo Jota enjoying success in front of the goal as the likes of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Divock Origi failed to make a lasting impact with their showings in the final third of the pitch.
The Reds have been linked with a host of top names across Europe’s biggest leagues but it is understood that Klopp might be willing to bring in a player who has past experience of turning out in the Premier League with the 24-year-old Bowen presenting himself as one such option.
Moreover, Klopp is in line to ship out the now out-of-favour Swiss international Xherdan Shaqiri before the transfer window slams shut with the player attracting strong interest from Serie A outfit Lazio.
