This Is What Alisson Needs To Do To Become A Legend

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has been praised for his incredible start to life at Merseyside since joining the club in a £65 million deal from AS Roma in the summer of 2018 but former Red Ray Clemence has said that it could be a while before he is categorized as a legend at Anfield.

It was always a case of trying to strengthen up the back line for Liverpool if the Reds wanted to win silverware on a regular basis. Last season, Loris Karius made two big mistakes in the final of the Champions League to deny Liverpool winning the European trophy but Jurgen Klopp has addressed that issue and Alisson Becker has slotted in perfectly at the club.

The Brazilian keeper won the Golden Glove in his debut season keeping 21 clean sheets in the Premier League and playing a crucial role for Liverpool to win the European trophy. But despite a great start to life at Liverpool, the 26-year-old has been given some advice on how to become a legend at the Premier League club.

Former Liverpool goalkeeper Ray Clemence explained that Alisson has to continue the great vein of form on a consistent basis and said, “He’s proved this year he’s a great goalkeeper. Truly great ones, the legends, continue to do that for the next five, 10 years “The word legend is thrown out without thinking, some of the players I was lucky to play with did it for six, seven, eight, 10 years – and that’s why they are so revered at Liverpool. But he’s had a great start. With foreign players, it’s partly down to how long they and their families want to stay at a club.”
