What are Liverpool FC players doing amid Covid-19?

Liverpool would be livid that the Premier League didn’t carry on for 2 more matches, all thanks to Corona Virus and its destruction across the globe. If the virus would have waited for 2 matches (and given that they win both of them owing to their rich vein of form), they would have ended the long-running debate of whether they should be crowned champions should the Premier League not continue this season.

But that does not stop Oxlade-Chamberlain from enjoying the best days of his life with his girlfriend and Little Mix star Perrie Edwards. In a video posted by the singer, Edwards and Chamberlain could be seen dancing together in casual clothes after Edwards moonwalked onto the scene. They swing their legs before dancing up some marble steps. Oxlade-Chamberlain then strolls down the corridor as the clip comes to an end. The dance moves were so adorable and synchronised which depicts their love and admiration for each other. Some players chose to focus on their fitness, while some chose to score “couple goals”, who consider their better halves and children as their support system.

Jürgen Klopp, the Reds’ manager, is also enjoying this period of self-isolation. He says that he is trying very hard to dance like Liverpool star Oxlade-Chamberlain and has kept himself busy watching some movies and the Taken trilogy. He even gave a message to all his fans that the only way to bring football back is to lead a strict, disciplined life to get things going piece by piece, slowly but steadily and that there is no other alternative.

The coronavirus pandemic has failed to hinder the competitiveness between Liverpool full-back duo Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Arnold recently shared a video of him working on his dead ball skills and could be seen shooting the ball perfectly into a bucket in his lush green garden from a distance.

But his counterpart was quick to respond with a hilarious tweet and a video, jokingly stating that there will be a new dead-ball specialist for Liverpool, claiming his stake for the first choice free-kick taker, when the season resumes.

Sadio Mane is making the most out this quarantine time by improving his fitness and left all his fans in awe. He shared a video in which he can be seen hitting the treadmill in an intense workout to increase his pace and some pull-ups to improve his already toned body. Probably the fastest runner in the team, the Senegalese is still hungry and eager for more. The fans heaped praises on him and even admitted that it was a sight to behold and a work of art to be admired.

James Milner has shared a series of hilarious videos depicting how he spent his time during this self-isolation period. In the past few days, the ever-reliable Liverpool midfielder has set up a camera and recorded himself rationing hundreds of tea bags for a week.

He’s also decided to go out into his back garden with a trusty pair of pink scissors and a ruler to cut the grass and level the lawn.

He even picked up household items and arranged them into a starting XI, coached by Fabio Capello (represented by a cap). This left all the fans in splits and truly has put a smile on our faces as we all come to terms with the coronavirus dilemma.

Roberto Firmino blew Liverpool fans away by showcasing impressive footwork skills. In this video posted on his Instagram channel, the Brazilian, in his personal gym, picked up the football on his left foot and balanced it for a second or two before performing some keeps-ups. And he followed it up with two “around the worlds”, impressing one and all with his flicks and tricks. He used his weaker foot to exhibit his tricks but made it look all so easy and sublime. He also spent quality time with his family by playing with his children and even chose to read a novel when free.

While many players were busy practicing, Gini Wijnaldum saw himself banned from football inside the house. The Dutchman revealed he had been banned by his family members from kicking the ball in the house. Instead, he turned his attention to entertainment, providing supporters with his own ‘Cool Down’ playlist on Spotify. The midfielder even asked his fans to suggest some soothing chill music numbers to expand his playlist. The playlist includes the likes of J Hus, Burna Boy, Wale and 2Pac.

The North Westerners will truly hope that the Premier League resumes as soon as possible or even allow them to play at least 2 matches (Provided they win in both these matches) to be crowned the Premier League champions and to put an end to all the debates surrounding this coveted league.
