Adrian Will Be Involved In Vigorous training Sessions These Two Weeks

The latest reports have claimed that Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian will be taking part in hardcore training exercises this week to improve his skills with the ball at his feet.

Adrian was one of the only senior signings that Liverpool made this summer transfer window as Belgian shot-stopper Simon Mignolet left the club to return to his native. The 32-year-old Adrian was a free agent in the summer as his contract with West Ham United expired and Liverpool snapped him up on a free transfer deal.

Liverpool’s number one goalkeeper Allison Becker was immense for the Reds last season as he helped the club to win the Champions League title but the Brazilian suffered an injury on the opening day of the season against Norwich City and limped off the pitch. Reports claimed that Allison will spend a bit of time out on the sidelines and that gave Adrian the opportunity to prove his worth.

The Spanish keeper did quite a good job by saving the decisive penalty in Liverpool’s penalty shootout win over Chelsea in Istanbul. Adrian though made an error against Southampton at St Mary’s which almost cost the Reds a crucial few points.

With Alisson still facing a bit of time out injured, Adrian is now ready to gobble up more of the spotlight but he is set to take up a thorough training program during the international break. Liverpool is happy with Adrian’s reflexes and his shot-stopping ability but they want to improve what he does with the ball at his feet.

Over the next few weeks, Adrian will work closely with goalkeeping coach John Achterberg at Melwood while a few other players that aren’t on international duty receive some time off. The 32-year-old kept his first clean sheet for Liverpool at Burnley this weekend and will be hoping to keep up those records.
