Arsenal could challenge Liverpool’s plans for signing Dusan Vlahovic

Arsenal could challenge Liverpool’s plans for signing Dusan Vlahovic with the Gunners expected to dip into the market for a new striker following an injury to Gabriel Jesus.

Vlahovic was recently linked with a move to Merseyside with Jurgen Klopp’s Reds interested in bringing him in after his mixed run of form for Juventus made his future in Turin subject to much speculation ahead of the January transfer window.

According to a report from the Italian publication Calciomercato ( via The Daily Mirror), it is claimed Liverpool could be provided competition in pursuit of the Serbian frontman by the Premier League table toppers Arsenal.

With no time frame set for Jesus’ return to action, Arsenal are likely to reinforce their front line come New Year when the transfer window reopens for business and are vying for Vlahovic’s signature after losing out to Juventus earlier.

Liverpool forward Diogo Jota is serving an extended spell on the sidelines with an injury which should see him stage a return only next February and Klopp would be urged to provide cover in the attacking ranks.
